THE PURPOSE
We are looking for you to be part of the new wave of deliberative democracy in the Global South!
About this project
In collaboration with the global office of the National Endowment for Democracy (NED) and the Extituto de Política Abierta in Colombia, Demo.Reset is created in 2022, a community of practice that articulates multiple actors in the global south. This project is an opportunity to observe, connect and learn to strengthen deliberative processes from the strategies and skills woven collaboratively in different contexts.
We recognize existing solutions, proposals and practices in the global south in order to nurture current forms of governance. We strengthen the unique practices of each context and find common ground between institutional models of deliberation and these other narratives.
It is time to transform democracy from new narratives of the Global South.
WHERE
As a result of the contributions we had in DEMO.RESET 1.0, we believe it is important that these spaces remain open. If you are or know of an organization working to strengthen democracy, we encourage you to sign up now!
Be part of this network of deliberative democracy in the Global South.
The moment we have been waiting for is here, the “Demo.Talks” master-classes that bring together experts from different parts of the world to share their knowledge on deliberative democracy, innovation, activism and many other topics. topics.
Every quarter we will send our ON.Reset, where you will find:
1. How we are doing (findings and current project agenda).
2. What’s coming up (what are our next events).
3. Recommendations of the month (three articles that will contribute to the knowledge).
FAQ
The project will be held simultaneously in English and Spanish.
Demo.Reset requires availability of time and trained personnel for the realization of the project, therefore, we seek to connect directly with organizations that have these capabilities and that have worked in political and democratic innovation.
In the early stages of the project we will work for about 2 and 6 hours per week.
