Communication for public engagement in deliberative democracy

Focus

This exchange delved into how to design communication strategies that truly connect with communities. It explored principles of strategic communication from Sierra Leone, experiences in youth training in transitional justice in Ghana, the use of radio as a participatory tool in Kenya, and the importance of translating institutional languages into accessible formats in Mexico. All of the experiences share a common goal: for people to understand, trust, and want to participate.
