Methods and tools for decision-making beyond the vote
Focus
We explore the limits of voting as the only form of decision-making and alternatives from the Global South. We discuss civic education to reduce electoral violence, non-electoral social participation in Cameroon, the use of consensus and its risks in Nigeria, and tools such as community scorecards. We also highlight public policy design as an iterative process adapted to the local context.
