Modular Deliberative Forums, DEMDIS

#METACONSENSUS / #DELIBERATIVETECHNOLOGY

DEMDIS emerged as a response to a deeply polarized context, where misinformation and distrust in institutions have fragmented public discourse. In this environment, the practice seeks to restore the value of citizen dialogue by creating carefully curated digital spaces where individuals with divergent views can listen to one another without fear or hostility.

The initiative combines deliberative methodologies with accessible technology, amplified through media partnerships, to build metaconsensus—understood as possible agreements between people who think differently, without requiring unanimity.

These thematic forums are hosted on a custom-built digital platform and supported by preparatory materials that frame the discussion, along with clear participation rules. Through this environment, citizens not only debate but also transform their perception of conflict, generating collective knowledge. Each forum becomes a public communication event: it is convened, moderated, analyzed, and then published through media partners to return a richer, more empathetic and shared narrative to society.
